About My Clients

Life can come with challenges that can leave you feeling uncertain about the path ahead. Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, loss of a sense of self, setting boundaries, people pleasing, effective ways to communicate or grief? Are you working through a life transition or feeling challenged by relationships that affect the quality of your life or the ability to access emotions like happiness or peace? Would you like some support in sorting through things to create positive change?

My Background and Approach

My approach to therapy is holistic, considering all aspects of a person's life, including relationships, identity, environment, childhood background, physical health, personality, perceptions, experiences with oppression, trauma, religion, spirituality, culture, and strengths. Our challenges, strengths and resilience come out of our unique context. I use strengths-based and trauma-informed interventions that help address self-defeating beliefs and behaviors and help you create the life you want. The therapeutic interventions I use are EMDR, cognitive therapies, relational interventions, the Grief Recovery Method, trauma-informed practices, skill building, insight oriented, mindfulness, somatics, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and more. In therapy, we start with where you are now and the challenges you're facing. From there, we create a plan that helps you move toward a more meaningful life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in people's innate capacity to access within themselves the ability to learn, grow, change and heal. Many challenges stem from interpersonal experiences, and healing often occurs within positive relationships. In order to survive difficult situations we often adopt coping mechanisms that work in the moment/s of difficulty, but no longer serve us in the present. Therapy can help you discover new ways of thinking, feeling, behaving, relating and embodying the change you want. In addition it can also assist you in letting go of the version of yourself you created to survive and aid in uncovering and reclaiming the aspects of yourself that you might have had to conceal. I welcome all people into my practice. It is a space where you can simply be yourself. Reach out to me so we can schedule a time for a consultation!
