My Background and Approach
Jennifer earned her Master of Education degree in School and Community Counseling from DePaul University. Jennifer is skilled and trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and grief. Using these skill sets, she has helped people form healthy attachments, create meaningful relationships, manage anxiety, navigate life transitions, and process trauma. Previously, as a school counselor, Jennifer worked with children ages 6-14 years old. In addition, she partnered with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their parents to help foster and promote social emotional skills and tools in order to thrive! As a Certified Positive Disicpline Parent Educator, Jennifer enjoys teaching parents how to understand their child’s behaviors, apply interventions, and improve the parent child relationship. Additionally, she is a Certified Birth, Postpartum and Bereavement Doula. Jennifer has supported families during pregnancy, birth, and loss.
