About My Clients

I love working with individuals who are struggling with food and body and are seeking liberation from their eating disorders. I am HAES aligned, anti-racist, fat positive, and LBGTQ+ affirming. My ideal client is an individual who is passionate about seeking recovery and is seeking a safe relationship where they can explore themselves and their struggles. My practice is a place of warmth, safety, kindness, and compassion. If you are showing up, you can count on me to be right next to you.

My Background and Approach

Over the last 10 years of practice, I have gained a large skill set to help anyone struggling with their body. I use a variety of techniques and tailor my approach to fit each person and how they grow best. I use a blend of dialectical behavioral, feminist, and interpersonal therapies. What that means is that I will help you develop skills, understand societal forces of oppression that impact you, and work to build a supportive and compassionate relationship where you can feel safe. We will start each session with the issue that you feel is most pressing that week. My approach is a blend of empowerment and client leading, alongside gentle guidance and exploration of themes that I see in your struggle.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that growth and self-love is possible for everyone coming from any background. I believe that identity factors including race, size, ability, sexual orientation, and gender are all key factors in understanding what you need and want in life. I am passionate about social justice and believe that body and food freedom involve examining the ways that forces of oppression impact you. Through my own therapy, I have grown to learn about self-compassion and how to integrate this into daily living. I am a big believer in seeking joy in whatever ways work best for you. For me, that involves yoga, mindful walking, snuggling my dogs (Waffle and Pancake), and watching The Office on repeat. I love helping others explore their passions in life and seeking purpose in daily living. I want to help YOU in your journey of growth and recovery.
