About My Clients
Are you someone who wants to understand why they do what they do? Do you want to explore and express hidden parts of yourself and/or how trauma is impacting your relationships? I believe that everyone has the capacity within themselves to find healing and to create a life worth living. I recognize that life is hard, and that stress and trauma are held in the body in numerous ways, which can lead to adaptive behaviors that may no longer be effective and/or are harmful to ourselves or others.
My Background and Approach
My aim, as a therapist, is to increase my client's toolbox for coping strategies, while also providing a safe space to address attachment wounds and trauma. I take a non-judgmental and non-pathologizing approach to mental health care. My primary approaches are Interpersonal Neurobiology, Person Centered Therapy, and Internal Family Systems informed care. What this means is that I help my clients build an understanding of how the brain responds/reacts in relationship, while building relational safety, so that my clients can explore their different parts and how that impacts their day-to-day life.
