About My Clients

I have experience with a wide variety of mental health concerns, including Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, ADHD, and life changes. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process where we work together to understand why you are experiencing distress and work together to alleviate that distress. I treat every client with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and provide psychoeducational tools to empower clients to accomplish their goals.

My Background and Approach

I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary. I completed my graduate internship working with children and adolescents at Front Range Christian School and Knippenberg, Patterson, Langley & Associates. I am certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in the state of Colorado. I am practicing under the supervision of Licensed Psychologist Dr. Megan Martinez. I have worked with Eating Disorders in an in-patient/residential facility, children and adolescents in a school setting, and private practice working with diverse individuals in low-income areas.. - M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Denver Seminary (CACREP Accredited Program) - B.A. in Sociology with a concentration in Criminology and Criminal Justice and History from Colorado State University

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Every therapist becomes a therapist to help others, and I am no different. I was drawn into the profession where I have had the privilege of hearing people’s stories and experiences. I am a compassionate therapist who believes there is always hope, even at our darkest moments. I treat every client with compassion and without judgment. I hope to create a warm and safe environment where my clients feel comfortable sharing their stories. I use a person-centered approach to therapy, which means I treat every client with empathy, unconditional positive regard, and respect. Through my experience in sociology, I approach counseling through an intersectional lens. Each client has unique stories, experiences, and obstacles to overcome. It is essential to focus on our feelings and personal experiences in therapy while also understanding how the world has shaped us. I am a social justice-oriented therapist, and I strive to empower and advocate for each of my clients.
