I primarily work with those experiencing anxiety. Overtime, I have developed a creative set of coping skills to assist in reducing and managing anxiety more effectively. Anxiety can be debilitating, frustrating and exhausting. You don’t have to live with it.

I often use an attachment-based lens when I’m working with individuals experiencing difficulty in relationships and occasionally in postpartum. Understanding where our attachment styles come from and how they impact us in present day kind of allow us to have deeper and more meaningful connections.

I have advanced training in postpartum mental health. As someone with lived experience in this area, I am passionate about offering support to those navigating pregnancy and postpartum. The journey of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum can be isolating, overwhelming, and filled with a lot of complicated emotions. You do not have to cope alone.

I have extensive training and DBT. I value this therapy because it offers coping mechanisms that can be creatively tailored to each client and need. For clients looking for new ways of coping, I often use dialectical behavioral therapy to find new tools in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.

Cognitive, behavioral therapy is a useful therapy when looking at our thought patterns and how they impact our behaviors. Often we find that thought patterns that were created earlier in life, created behaviors that may no longer work for us in present day. CBT allows us to check in with those thoughts and behaviors and make changes where necessary.

Understanding our attachment styles and how we relate to those around us is really important for having deep, meaningful connections. Attachment can be particularly important in romantic relationships, as well as friendships and connections with our children. Using an attachment lens, we can understand where our ability to connect with others stems from and understand the types of attachment we are seeking.
