About My Clients
My philosophy of practice includes open communication, empathy, and providing an individualized and holistic plan of care. I truly believe in the mind-body connection and support both physical and mental wellness. I have worked as a registered nurse, working primarily in the emergency department and psychiatric inpatient setting. My clinical experience includes working with individuals presenting with polysubstance abuse, dual diagnoses, and underserved/indigent populations.
My Background and Approach
I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing from California State University Long Beach and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary’s University. Prior to my career as a nurse and nurse practitioner, I served in the United States Army as a medic. Areas of specialty include depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and post-traumatic stress disorder. I enjoy spending time with my twin toddlers and spouse, reading and dance.
