About My Clients
I help people who are feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or disconnected in their life or relationships due to communication issues, life changes or transitions, or difficult past experiences identify and overcome barriers to feeling better. I also help people who struggle with difficult sleeping fall asleep faster and sleep more soundly.
My Background and Approach
After meeting and discussing your current concerns and your past experiences, we will talk about your goals for treatment. I will present the scientifically proven approaches I think could help you meet your goals and we will discuss which sound like they might work best for you. I offer multiple evidence-based individual and couple therapies focused on clarifying what is important to you (if needed) and overcoming emotional and situational barriers to living the life you want. The couple therapy I offer focuses on improving communication through perspective-taking and other communication skills focused on improving emotional and physical intimacy. I also offer trauma-focused therapies that focusing on moving forward after traumatic experiences. and sleep therapies focused on getting a better night's sleep or resolving recurrent nightmares.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that therapy should be a place where you feel safe to share your inner experiences and get ideas and support for making the changes you want to make in your life. I want to provide you the support you need so you can get more enjoyment out of life. I believe in customizing scientifically supported techniques to each person's specific situation so they can start feeling better as soon as possible.
