About My Clients

Boy, isn’t that the truth. I love working with my fellow humans navigating this crazy and complicated yet deeply rich journey called "life."
My Background and Approach
I earned my doctorate in clinical psychology with an emphasis in clinical neuropsychology and the neuroscience of emotion. This specialized training allows me to capitalize on the way that the brain operates and the principles of neuroplasticity (growing and changing the brain!) to most effectively help clients in therapy hoping to make behavior changes and learn to better manage their emotions and attention to the present moment. I have undergone specialization in "third wave" psychotherapies which place an emphasis on mindfulness and acceptance-based approaches in addition to cognitive-behavioral therapies. I love using my expertise in acceptance and commitment therapy to connect people to their true values and dreams in life and help guide them to get unstuck on their life journey. I am board-certified in clinical neuropsychology - which means that I have met the necessary qualifications and demonstrated expertise in brain/behavior relationships & neuropsychological assessment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a socially liberal and open-minded Christian, spiritual person who believes that all humans should be treated with equality, love, respect, and compassion. It breaks my heart when I see humans not supporting other humans. I believe that one of my purposes in this life is to serve and love others, help to reduce suffering, and optimize quality of life for other humans, however possible.
