Hello! I am Dr. Jenna Renfroe and I am a licensed clinical psychologist and board-certified neuropsychologist, serving NC and FL clients.
Clinical Psychologist in North Carolina
CBT was the primary framework of my graduate and post-graduate training in clinical psychology.
I have undergone specialized training in ACT, including a 16-hour intensive course as well as extensive didactic and experiential work in this modality.
I have extensive training in the neurobiology of anxiety and efficacious ways of treating it. This includes a great deal of experience in exposure-based cognitive-behavioral therapies as well as acceptance and commitment therapy for anxiety which has also been proven as effective as CBT. That's a lot of therapy jargon-talk there, but that is to say, I am well versed in anxiety and its treatments and love working with this population.
As a neuropsychologist with expertise in aging and dementia, I am highly educated and have extensive experience working with older adults, spouses, and families affected by the unique challenges of aging and age-related disease and disorders such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's disease, and all forms of dementia.
My individual therapy work has focused on clients who are seeking personal growth and to make positive changes in their lives. My training in cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapy lends itself beautifully to the process of personal growth, which is just that - a process to be worked through and made easier with the help and support of a mental health professional.
