About My Clients
I work with thoughtful, emotionally sensitive adults who hold their lives together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or self-critical on the inside. Many of my clients have spent years trying to manage symptoms or change themselves, only to sense that something deeper is asking for attention. I am additionally drawn to working with experiences that are difficult to put into words, including trauma, identity-related stress, and non-ordinary or transformative experiences.
My Background and Approach
My work is grounded in experiential, somatic, and parts-based therapy. I frequently use Brainspotting, a neurobiologically informed approach similar to EMDR, to support the processing of unresolved trauma and emotional patterns. In addition to weekly therapy, I offer Brainspotting intensives (2–5 hours) for clients seeking focused support around specific experiences or traumas. I attended Naropa University, a Buddhist-based university, and so my entire training as a therapist has been infused with a mindfulness lens. Sessions often move beyond traditional talk therapy, inviting tender curiosity towards the body, imagery, and felt experience. This approach allows the nervous system to heal in ways that talking alone often can’t. Through relational, somatic, and parts-based therapy, I help clients move from self-blame and overwhelm toward self-compassion, integration, and a greater sense of inner safety -- supporting healing that is not just coping, but lasting and meaningful.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
One of my most core beliefs as a therapist is that every client has within them a core, inner guide who knows what is best for them in particular. I view my job as an assistant and fellow traveler in uncovering the path back home to that version of self, freeing you of the "shoulds" that come from the outside world. Every person's story is unique and precious, and influenced by their lived experiences in their specific body in this specific culture. My goal is to be with you every step of the way as you make meaning of these experiences, and reclaim your authenticity.
