My Background and Approach
I received a Masters of Rehabilitation and Career Counseling and a Masters of Substance Abuse and Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University. I have eight years of master’s level experience in the field of mental wellness and addictions. My passion is to provide you with a nonjudgmental and compassionate approach to healing. My counseling approach is eclectic and includes many evidence-based therapeutic methods. The most important part of therapy is for you to feel safe and comfortable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I provide a comfortable, warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space for you to work through difficult experiences and practice new ways to manage emotions. I understand that opening up to a stranger can be scary. I want you to feel unconditionally accepted and affirmed. We will work collaboratively and explore the concerns that bring you to therapy. Together we will identify barriers that are hindering you, and seek future strategies to help you move forward. I offer online therapy to eliminate the barriers of in-person therapy and provide the service in the comfort of your home. I believe that you are capable of solving your problems and creating the life you’ve always wanted; my job is guide and support you. This is YOUR journey and I am here to walk alongside you.
