My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and the heart behind Soulful Steps, specializing in supporting teens and young adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, self-doubt, and life transitions. I bring clinical training and experience working in mental health settings with individuals facing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma responses, and emotional dysregulation. My approach is calm, nurturing, and grounded while also being direct and solution-focused so you feel supported and also know what to do next. Together, we work collaboratively to build practical tools you can actually use in real life, not just in session. My goal is for you to leave with multiple coping strategies you can carry with you anywhere so you always have ways to ground yourself, regulate your emotions, and calm your mind when things feel heavy. We focus on what is happening in the moment, how your thoughts, body, and emotions are connected, and how to interrupt cycles of anxiety and overwhelm in a healthy way.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens when people feel safe, seen, and supported without judgment. I also believe every person has the capacity to grow, heal, and reconnect with themselves, even when life feels overwhelming or stuck. My work is grounded in compassion, clinical training, and the belief that anxiety, depression, and emotional distress are often signals of deeper pain that deserves understanding, not shame. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I value meeting clients exactly where they are and walking alongside them as they build tools, insight, and self-trust. I strive to create an inclusive, affirming space where teens and young adults feel empowered to show up as their full selves. I care deeply about emotional wellness, access to mental health support, and reducing the stigma around asking for help. My goal is to make therapy a safe, grounding space where you can breathe again, learn new ways to cope, and begin to feel more like yourself.
