About My Clients
Through integrative, evidence-based methods, I work with people experiencing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, and issues around sex and sexuality. Together, we will build a therapeutic relationship centered in empathy and curiosity in order to develop greater understanding of one’s self in relationship to others and to facilitate personal growth.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I am committed to creating a safe, collaborative space where clients can enhance self-awareness, reclaim their power, and begin the process of healing. I believe in using a person-centered, strengths-based approach that honors the client’s unique life experiences and individuality. Some of the therapeutic modalities I use include Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Solution Focused Brief Therapy. No matter which intervention I use in session, it is vitally important to me to provide services in a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed, and sex-positive manner. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a social worker, I am committed to anti-oppressive and anti-racist practice. This means creating a safe and welcoming place for members of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities where your lived experience will be honored, and your identity will be valued. I promise to continue to show up, learn, and be an advocate.
