About My Clients
My clients are working professionals, students, new parents, and men/women struggling in their relationships. They may be dealing with current or past traumas, general anxiety, panic attacks, depression, stress management, and/or low self confidence. If you see yourself in any of those scenarios please reach out and let's talk! Allow me to be your sounding board. The first step towards healing is making the call.
My Background and Approach
I have a strong background in severe mental health, specifically inpatient psychiatric hospitals and community mental health programs. I utilize a client centered approach, meaning that my clients guide the focus of their sessions. My clinical lens includes cognitive behavioral therapy, with an additional focus on trauma informed care, strength based treatment, and mindfulness. I believe that people are influenced by the systems around them and one must look at the picture as a whole when engaging in therapy. I work to make sure that all of my clients feel comfortable, respected, motivated and in control of their own treatment. I combine lived experience and clinical interventions to help my clients reach control over their lives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should always be a safe and comfortable space for clients. My job as a therapist is to create a light hearted, relatable, and down to earth experience during sessions. I strongly believe in the benefit of having a non judgmental space to talk through and process those very personal thoughts and struggles that my clients may be experiencing. Additionally, I am a firm believer that one should practice what they preach. Therefore, if I suggest a myriad of coping skills or mindfulness techniques then chances are I have also tried to integrate these tools into my own daily routine as well.
