About My Clients
You’re used to being the dependable one—the strong one who keeps it together. But inside, you may feel anxious, stuck, or exhausted from constantly people-pleasing and putting others first. Over time, that pressure can chip away at your sense of identity and self-worth. Therapy can be a space where you don’t have to perform—a place to untangle old patterns, reconnect with who you are, and begin honoring your needs with confidence.
My Background and Approach
I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University, specializing in Art Therapy. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with a wide range of individuals and settings, supporting people navigating anxiety, burnout, low self-confidence, and struggles in relationships with themselves and others. While I value the breadth of my experience, I’ve found particular meaning in working with individuals who are ready to reconnect with who they are and grow through healing. My approach is person-centered and strength-based, viewing therapy as a collaborative process. I see us as a team—honoring your pace, following your lead, and offering guidance when helpful. I believe you are the expert of your own life. Through both professional training and personal experience, I value helping clients practice “healthy selfishness”—prioritizing their needs, building self-trust, and creating a life that feels authentic and sustainable.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
You deserve a life that feels meaningful and true to you—not one shaped by burnout, self-doubt, or people-pleasing. I believe therapy can be a space where real growth begins, especially when it’s rooted in genuine support and compassion. When you feel understood and encouraged within a strong therapeutic relationship, it becomes easier to build the confidence needed to make meaningful changes. I see my role as offering both steadiness and gentle challenge—providing the push, support, and reassurance that help you trust yourself more fully. Starting therapy and opening up can feel vulnerable, stressful, and even scary. Yet growth often requires moving through fear rather than avoiding it. Together, we’ll move at your pace and explore what you need to feel more like yourself again. If you’re ready for support—or simply curious about what therapy might help you uncover—I’d be glad to walk alongside you.
