About My Clients

My clients are cisgender and LGBTQ+ hoping to explore their identity, life transitions, family dynamics, religious or cultural conflict, discrimination, or simply growing up without spaces where you felt fully seen. I aim to offer an affirming environment where your identity is respected and understood as an important part of your story, not a problem to solve.

My Background and Approach

My style is warm, collaborative, and engaged. I won’t just sit silently — I’ll ask thoughtful questions, share observations, and offer practical tools you can use in daily life. Therapy with me is not about fixing you; it’s about helping you understand yourself, reduce shame, and develop new ways of responding to emotions, triggers, and relationships. Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if past experiences have taught you that it wasn’t always safe to be fully yourself. Whether you’re coming in because of trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, or a sense that you feel disconnected from your own life, you don’t have to sort it out alone. My goal is to offer a space where you can exhale — a place that is steady, respectful, and genuinely affirming of who you are. I provide trauma-informed therapy for adults and young adults. Many of the people I work with are thoughtful and capable, yet carry invisible weight: memories and self-doubt.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

From the outside, your life probably looks put together. You meet expectations, show up for others, and handle responsibilities. People may even describe you as dependable, capable, or the one who always has it together. But internally, it feels very different. You might be constantly overthinking, bracing for something to go wrong, replaying conversations long after they end, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. Rest can feel unfamiliar, and even small mistakes can carry outsized shame. Many high-functioning people who have lived through trauma learned early that staying alert, pleasing others, or pushing through feelings was the safest way to cope. Those strategies helped you survive, but now they can leave you exhausted, disconnected, or unsure who you are when you’re not in “manage everything” mode. You may not call it trauma — you may just call it your personality — yet your body holds tension, your mind rarely quiets, and relaxing feels harder than working.
