About My Clients
I enjoy working with expecting/ new parents, supporting the parent-child dyad, supporting adults and adolescents through life changes and transitions, anxiety, social, racial/cultural challenges and intergenerational trauma.
My Background and Approach
We all need someone who can listen and provide a psychologically safe and compassionate environment, while supporting us in our journey toward change. I provide this environment and partner with my clients to determine needs and develop goals. I utilize an eclectic approach that incorporates many treatment modalities delivered in partnership with my clients. I lead from a multidimensional aspect grounded in equity, acknowledging and supporting clients to recognize and dismantle the historical, systemic, and intergenerational factors that have impacted them. I graduated from Springfield College with my Masters in Social Work and have been licensed for over 6 years. My past experience includes providing support to parents with young children, parent education in child development and perinatal mental health. I also have experience in supporting people of color in healing from intergenerational and racial trauma. I am also experienced in providing reflective supervision.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in utilizing a Culturally Humble approach in navigating life and in interactions with others. I believe that we are all navigating systems and historical influences that have impacted us in different ways. We often navigate our lives in ways that hinder us from being able to be our authentic selves. I believe that it is important for us to do the work to unpack this internally in order to begin our healing journey.
