About My Clients
Many of us are used to surviving by just making it to the next goal post in life. After so long, this approach leaves us feeling lost and unfulfilled. We used to be so vibrant, so passionate but somewhere down the line we lost ourselves to the grind. Whether you are an individual who feels stuck in their ways but dying for a revival or a couple who is looking to feel more connected in their busy lives ; I serve as a guide to help my clients relearn they are human beings and not human doings.
My Background and Approach
Many clients come to me and express that they know what they "need to do," however they just cannot "will" themselves into forward momentum. Thanks to the damaging narratives we have held for so long around willpower and motivation we tend to quickly fall into a shame cycle when we find we cannot "military sergeant" our way ahead. As a marriage and family therapist and human being, I serve as a collaborator and a guide to help sort through the blocks preventing us from reaching a more full-filling life. I utilize theories such as Emotionally Focused Therapy to help find the emotional cycles we tend to get trapped in along with parts work to explore the incongruences we find within our selves. I am trained in BrainSpotting which can also be used as a scared tool to help us find the answers in which you seek. As a couple's therapist I have been trained and certified in Systematic Affair Recovery Treatment to help both partners explore and voice their unmet needs leading up to infidelity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the answers we seek and the healing we desire lie within us. I think we all posses sacred wisdom from our intuition that can lead to intimate and secure relationship to our own selves. However, we have been bombarded with societal pressures and distracted in our technological "advanced" lives that it has made the radio signal from our own intuition fuzzy.
