About My Clients

My clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, and the emotional weight of living in a body that feels unpredictable or hard to trust, including chronic illness, diabetes, and autoimmune conditions. Many identify as LGBTQ+ or are in non-traditional relationships. They're thoughtful, self-aware, and ready to do real work, not because things are falling apart, but because they want to understand themselves more fully. They want a therapist who gets the whole picture, not just one piece of it.

My Background and Approach

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in affirming care and whole-person work. Before opening my private practice, I spent years working in diabetes care, which shapes how I think about the relationship between physical and emotional health. I hold a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist credential, and I'm one of the few therapists in Colorado who works at that intersection. My approach draws from ACT, EMDR, EFT, IFS and somatic modalities, tailored to what each person actually needs rather than a fixed protocol. I work with individuals and relationships, and I bring particular care to clients navigating identity, trauma, and relational complexity. Therapy with me tends to feel collaborative and grounded. I'm not going to tell you what to do or who to be. I'm interested in helping you build a relationship with yourself that has more room in it: for your body, your history, your values, and the life you're trying to live.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I'm a queer therapist, and that's not incidental to how I work. It shapes the kind of space I try to create. Outside of work, I value movement, good food, and time with the people (and dog) I love. I'm an introvert who takes rest seriously, which means I also take sustainability seriously, in my own life and in the therapy I offer. I'm committed to creating a fully affirming, inclusive space for LGBTQ+ individuals and relationships. I understand how important it is to work with someone who gets the nuances of identity, community, and lived experience without requiring explanation or justification. Your full self is welcome here. I strive to center and honor experiences that differ from my own, holding awareness of how systemic oppression shapes emotional well-being, relationships, and access to care. Meaningful therapy must account for the intersection of identity, power, and context, and I approach this with humility, curiosity, and ongoing commitment to anti-oppressive practice.
