About My Clients

I work with couples, families and individuals of all ages with a variety of concerns. I have experience working with complex trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and relational struggles. Families who have children with special needs, adoptive families, parenting support and couples are my areas of expertise. Through connection and empathy I seek to spend time in sessions helping clients grow in their understanding of themselves and those they love.

My Background and Approach

I became a therapist for one purpose- to help others. In my work with clients, I prioritize connection and deep understanding to help them heal from past hurts, develop self-confidence, and grow in self-compassion. My approach is focused on understanding client’s attachment history and working with their unique stories to process trauma (when necessary) and increase resiliency. I am trained in EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy. I use an integrative attachment-based focus with a foundation in neuroscience in my work with clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we are made for connection and have within ourselves the ability to grow and heal when we are connected in healthy and meaningful ways to others. As a woman, wife, mother, daughter and friend, my life experiences and relationships have taught me the importance of forgiveness, boundaries, self-compassion and authenticity. I am far from perfect, but wake up each day with the desire to improve and walk with others on their journey. My lived experience as an adoptive and biological mother, as well as a parent of children with special needs has shown me the intense need for support. My non-judgmental and collaborative nature means my work with clients is full of grace and understanding that although life may not currently be living up to your expectations, that is not an indication of your character or worth.
