About My Clients
My clients tend to be thoughtful, self-aware people who want clearer access to their emotions and needs, and a deeper connection to themselves and the people they love. I have a particular interest in high achievers and high-functioning anxiety, emotionally distant adults with avoidant attachment, emotionally disconnected couples, Asian American identity and family dynamics, faith deconstruction, and parents healing childhood wounds.
My Background and Approach
“You seem just fine on your own," my therapist said to me. She was right. I was moving through my days appearing just fine, staying hidden and getting by on my own — safe from expectation, disappointment, and appearing "too much." But "fine" also left me feeling alone. So I gradually came out of hiding to truly meet her. Over time, we came across clarity, shared tears, trust, meaningful connection, and lots of humor. Encountering other humans in this way has become my joy. With over 12 years of clinical experience, I have completed advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), and primarily draw from these relational, attachment-based models. Previously, I worked in entertainment and tech — living alongside high-performers gave me a firsthand appreciation for the pressures they carry beneath the surface, and a genuine desire to help them find meaning and fulfillment aligned with what matters most to them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I value the ways that intersectionality — race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity — shapes our inner lives and how we move through the world. I identify as Taiwanese-American, daughter of immigrants, and I strive to be an LGBTQIA+ ally.
