Do you ever feel like you're surviving but not thriving? Have thoughts, feelings, and behaviors ever made making the right choices for you and your relationships difficult or even impossible? My goal is to help you find clarity, understanding, and solutions that work for your life. The approach I use emphasizes insight, emotional healing, and empowerment. My aim is to help people build a sense of happiness and gratification in their lives.
My Background and Approach
I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) practicing virtually. My goal is to help you build a better relationship with yourself, your significant others, & to reduce adverse symptoms & experiences getting in the way of living the kind of life you'd like to live. Mental health struggles are tied to genetics, societal socialization, family behavioral patterns, life experiences, & more. My practice is centered on an open-minded, inclusive & non-judgmental approach. I aim to take into consideration as many aspects of a person and their lives as possible in our work together because we don't live in a vacuum and all parts of us are valid. I provide supervision (pre and post-licensure). I especially love this work & have a separate fee structure for it. Please reach out with any questions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe people are ever-evolving & that change/growth only stops when we stop pursuing it. I believe the best therapeutic work happens in a growth environment. A growth environment is based in respect, compassion, & a belief in the human capacity for healing, change, and reparation. I identify as a queer person within the larger LGBTQIA+ community. I support all ethical non-monogamous relationship structures, am sex & kink positive, support BLM efforts, & believe in sex workers' rights. I am one human seeking to help other humans be recognized and validated in their own right. I'm a dog person who likes cats, especially cat memes! I'm mostly introverted. I dream of giving in to my wanderlust but struggle to give up my home's creature comforts. :) I don't think anyone is ever too old to love dinosaurs. I read constantly, travel as much as I can, & watch more reality tv than I "should." LOL :) Please reach out if you'd like to learn more and see if we'd be a good fit.
