About My Clients
How often do you feel like you look serene from the outside, but feel frantic on the inside? Are you sought out for strength and support by your community, while feeling like you don't have someone to offer the same to you? I know exactly what that feels like. What once felt like security of being "independent" and "self-sufficient" can evolve into isolation and disconnection. It is my job and pleasure to show you that you can find security and nourishment from connection and interdependency.
My Background and Approach
In general, my approach is two-pronged: helping clients develop a deep connection with themselves and with others. What I mean by developing a deep connection with themselves is that we work to broaden awareness of emotions, thoughts, and sensations. The reason being, the more we can sense our feelings, thoughts, and what's happening in our body- the more choice we have! With a deep awareness of where we are, we can easily move toward wherever we'd like to be. Additionally, I believe that being in relationship and connection with others is key to living a nourishing life. The connection between me and my clients is very important, as well as the connections that my clients have outside the therapy room. However, I know that there are so many barriers we hit when it comes to developing deep connections with others. My clients and I do a deep exploration of what barriers might show up for them.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm a LGBTQ+ affirming therapist, with experience working with clients in monogamous and non-monogamous relationship structures. Ultimately, what I know more than anything else is that you are the expert of yourself and you have access to an unlimited source of wisdom. I'm here to hold the lantern as you explore and (re)discover your rich resources.
