I believe personal achievements are what make us unique, so I enjoy helping others take the steps needed to succeed! My goal is to help clients develop a deeper understanding of what they value most, identify road blocks, and establish goals that will get them closer to what is most important to them.

My own experience as a parent has taught me to have lots of grace. I know the tension of encouraging independence while also helping our children develop the skills they need to thrive. My goal is to help parents recognize what is most important to them and what changes can be made to reduce stress and challenging behavior in the home.

My Marriage and Family Therapy degree and personal experience are the foundation on which I work with clients. I understand the complexities of family concerns that vary, often between generations. I observe interactions to better understand challenging dynamics. My goal is to help families work together to promote a safe, healthy environment.

Our thoughts are powerful! They have a dramatic impact on the way we live. I work with clients to understand what thoughts are negatively affecting their lives and potentially their behavior, relationships, occupation, etc. I then work with clients to replace negative thoughts and develop new behaviors that support personal values and goals.

I am trained in Level One of the Gottman Method, a famously, scientifically-based approach to working with couples. I also utilize narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotion focused, solution focused, and psychoanalytic. My goal is to understand the couple's dynamic and work with them in a way that will be most beneficial to them.

My background in Marriage and Family Therapy promotes the belief that families are made up of members that each play an important role in the system overall. I believe that when changes are made, whether positive or negative in outcome, it influences the way each person responds. This can lead to challenges and changed dynamics. I work with families to understand what role each person plays and how that influences the way they relate to one another.
