About My Clients
My approach to therapy is to join your narrative and learn what would make healing and change “worth it for you.” Understanding how significant it is to share the honest entirety of our stories, I hope to take compassionate risks alongside you without the fear of losing ourselves or others. Utilizing philosophies rooted in community-based teachings and dialogues, my mission is to align with your personal beliefs and values as it relates to your healer within.
My Background and Approach
Always revisiting and relearning my own intersecting identities as a first generation, queer Korean, I am committed to not only affirm the identities we use to “check off the boxes,” but the identities that often go unseen and untold. Currently my work is based heavily in community QTBIPOC mental health, and clinically supervising other QTI and BIPOC therapists. Whether it is in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) or experiential techniques utilizing creativity and expression, I am a big champion of each individual’s beautiful complexity and that “change can happen at any pace.” Ultimately my goal is to immediately establish tangible equity within the therapy session so that we can build trust and accountability around your autonomous self.
