About My Clients
You can’t shake the feeling that something’s missing. You’ve worked hard to get where you are, but everything still isn't coming together. Constant anxiety casts a shadow that makes enjoying day-to-day life impossible. Your mood is all over the place, getting annoyed and lashing out at those around you – only to feel ashamed later. You’re not yourself. You keep trying to make things better, but finding lasting change eludes you. I will help you find a path for yourself that leads to happiness.
My Background and Approach
I left an unsatisfying career in business to become a therapist. I made a change to live a happier life, and I’m so thankful I did. Over the past 10 years, I've dedicated my life to learning how to help people change their lives. I received a master's degree and a doctorate degree in social work while working with clients across all walks of life. I focus on taking all that I've learned and customizing my approach to each of my clients' unique needs. I use cognitive approaches to help clients change their thought patterns and behaviors while also using mindfulness-based practices to assist with understanding and coping with emotions. Whether you’ve tried therapy before or this is your first experience, we will find what works for YOU. It’s time for you to create the life you want to live. Don’t wait any longer. Everything you need is already within you, waiting to be unleashed. Allow me to help you find it.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis when I was 29 years old. It was a devastating diagnosis that led me to drastically change the trajectory of my life. The help I received from family, friends, and healthcare providers allowed my condition to stabilize and allowed me to realize that my diagnosis was actually a gift. I no longer could feel satisfied living a life that wasn't in service to others and I wanted to pay forward all the support I had received. My training and experiences with clients have allowed me to experience a much greater depth and understanding of the human condition. The idea from Buddhism that life is filled with 10,000 joys and 10,000 sorrows has deeply resonated with me. I want to do whatever I can to assist people with navigating the tremendous challenges we each face and be able to access as much joy and happiness as possible.
