About My Clients
Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, stress, anger, relationship challenges, identity concerns, or major life transitions. You may understand what you’re feeling but still struggle to change the patterns keeping you stuck. I work with adults from diverse backgrounds, including people of color, first-generation professionals, and LGBTQIA+ individuals. Together, we’ll build greater clarity, healthier coping skills, and meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field. I earned both my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. My approach is integrative, with a foundation in Psychodynamic and Existential therapy. We may explore how earlier experiences, relationships, identity, culture, and underlying patterns continue to influence the way you think, feel, and relate to others today. I also incorporate CBT and mindfulness-based strategies when practical tools can help you manage what you’re experiencing in the present. Therapy with me is collaborative rather than one-size-fits-all. I value honest conversation, curiosity, and genuine connection. Together, we can deepen your self-awareness, challenge patterns that may no longer serve you, strengthen coping skills, and help you feel more grounded in who you are and where you want to go.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is not about becoming a completely different person. Often, it’s about understanding yourself more deeply, recognizing what you’ve been carrying, and deciding what you want to keep, change, or let go of. I also believe our experiences do not happen in a vacuum. Family, relationships, culture, identity, community, and the systems around us can all shape how we understand ourselves and move through the world. As a therapist of color, I value creating space for conversations about these experiences when they are meaningful to you. Above all, I see therapy as a collaborative process. I’m not here to tell you how to live your life. My role is to help you explore it with greater clarity, recognize patterns and possibilities, and develop the insight and tools to make choices that feel more intentional and authentic to you.
