About My Clients
I primarily work with individuals who struggle with anxiety, trauma-related disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, and eating disorders. I am passionate in working with the Asian, Asian-American (and other POC), and LGBTQ+ communities.
My Background and Approach
In therapy sessions, I primarily utilize Attachment-Focused EMDR and talk therapy, Emotion-Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and various interventions from Dialectical and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Throughout my professional career, I have worked in a residential setting, community mental health agency, and outpatient clinics.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I see the process of being in therapy is like learning a new language. The more we practice, the more fluent we become. Once we've become fluent in the language, we then seek out people who can speak the same language. I see mental health and relationship from a similar lens. Once we are able to practice self-attunement and care for ourselves, we seek out people who are able to respect and care for us in the way that we respect and care for ourselves.
