About My Clients
I work with adults of all ages and specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate life transitions – including transitions in school or career, in relationships, or in parenting. I also work with self-esteem, anxiety, stress, and trauma. We might be a good match if you: feel overwhelmed, trapped, or isolated by the expectations of society, your family, and/or yourself; want to tend to themes of motherhood, parenthood, and where these roles/decisions intersect with identity.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic style is nurturing and warm, with an emphasis on holding space for clients to be fully seen and heard, understanding our strengths, and connecting to different parts of ourselves. My approach is informed by Internal Family Systems (currently undergoing level 1 training) and Gottman Couples Therapy (level 1 trained). Using these approaches, I support clients in moving toward internal peace, relational connectedness, and self-compassion.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that life is a series of transitions and transitioning between roles (or into a new role) can create turbulence in our lives and can make it difficult to get a good footing. Sometimes these transitions can open old wounds, or lead to internal battles that can hold us hostage. When you feel like you are at war with yourself or the people in your life, I believe that therapy can be a safe space to settle these battles.
