About My Clients
My clients are young adults between the ages of 18-35 facing transitions, relational disconnect, anxiety, stress, and trauma. They have a desire to grow holistically, and are open to exploring all dimensions of their humanity such as meaning, purpose, and spirituality. My clients may be seeking to work with me because they are pregnant and preparing for childbirth and postpartum, or they are seeking support through the difficult transition and transformation of motherhood.
My Background and Approach
I view anxiety and all areas of disintegration as an opportunity for growth. Reframing, mindfulness, boundary setting, assertiveness training, and values-based decisions are the core of my approach. I pull from many theories, including Restoration Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Trauma Informed Care, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy while remaining especially focused on connection and relationship within the therapy space. I am a trained *Birthing From Within* Mentor and Childbirth Educator as well.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that every human has a spiritual nature and can benefit from an intentional spiritual practice, regardless of their religious beliefs. I know this can be a tough subject for many people. I personally practice a Christian faith because it is part of my own story and healing, though I understand that not every client desires to have faith or spirituality in their own counseling space, and I completely respect that.
