About My Clients
I work with teens, adults, and older adults who may look like they are doing fine on the outside but feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Many of my clients are navigating trauma, grief, chronic illness, caregiving stress, relationship concerns, or major life transitions. I also welcome veterans and understand some of the unique stressors that can come with military service, health concerns, and navigating VA systems.
My Background and Approach
I am a Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker with experience working with teens, adults, and older adults in private practice, community mental health, schools, senior services, and veteran-related settings. My clinical interests include anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, chronic illness, caregiving stress, relationships, and life transitions. I draw from ACT, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and trauma-informed approaches, with additional training in ACT, DBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Psychological First Aid, and Trauma-Informed Yoga. My background helps me tailor therapy to the individual rather than use a one-size-fits-all approach. Together, we can work on coping with difficult thoughts and emotions, understanding patterns that keep you stuck, and taking meaningful steps toward the life and relationships that matter to you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As an Asian American woman with a background in community mental health, I understand that culture, family, identity, and access to resources can all shape the way people experience mental health and whether they feel comfortable asking for help. I believe mental health is just as important as physical health, and that quality care should be accessible to people regardless of their background or resources. I also believe therapy should be culturally responsive, inclusive, and grounded in respect for each person’s lived experience. I value creating a space where people feel seen, understood, and able to talk openly without fear of judgment.
