I was adopted at the age of 7 1/2 in New York. I have been in the field for over 20 years training social workers/therapists in adoption, foster care, trauma-informed best practices for the Los Angeles County Child and Family Services and Department of Mental Health. I also holds training for parents, social workers, therapists on topics related to adoption & foster care challenges parenting, the impact of pre-adoption trauma, grief/loss, open adoption, open foster care, attachment, reunion.

We provide attachment focused family therapy to facilitate secure attachments, help you understand your child's history, build trust, attune to your child/teens' underlying needs and teach you effective trauma-informed parenting tools that support you and your child's bonding and attachment needs.

We gently facilitate the expression of grief, often expressed as sad, anxious, angry, lonely, guilty, relieved, isolated, confused, or numb. We provide a safe space, to allow mourning to unfold naturally related to the loss of someone or something you have formed an attachment too. We support the process of finding new meaning, thinking creatively about the challenges that follow loss, and practicing coping skills that sustain roots of self-compassion and well being.

We provide Attachment Focused E.M.D.R. therapy. Our focus is on healing life traumas, building strong and safe attachments and helping clients learn to live an authentic, connected life. We work to help identify the parts of us that feel disconnected, are in pain and help develop skills to feel better, connected and happy.

We understand the quality of early attachment experiences significantly influences an individual's emotional development, interpersonal relationships, and overall well-being throughout their lifespan. We help you identify the different patterns of attachment that developed based on your early interactions with caregivers and your internal working model of coping with early adverse childhood experiences. It's often integrated into psychotherapy sessions alongside other therapeutic modalities, such as EMDR, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and somatic experiencing. By accessing and processing traumatic or emotionally charged material stored in the brain and body, Brainspotting facilitates healing and promotes emotional well being.
