About My Clients
Is your teen struggling with anxiety so much that they have a difficult time taking tests at school? Do they have a hard time being away from home due to fears or worries? As a parent, it can be hard to see your teen struggle this way. Thankfully, online therapy can help teens manage and even reduce their symptoms of anxiety. Tele-therapy is also helpful for those teens who feel anxious when they are away from home; they can receive the help they need from the comfort of their own home.
My Background and Approach
My approach is focused on helping your teen develop coping skills and techniques that will empower them. I will work collaboratively with you and your teen to help them learn about anxiety, learn to identify triggers, practice grounding techniques, identify the root cause of the anxiety, and calm their nervous system through mindfulness exercises. I use EMDR to help teens process negative beliefs that may be at the core of their symptoms. I also use Play Therapy activities to help teens express what words cannot express. Most importantly, I will go at your teen's pace. Nothing can be more anxiety producing than being pushed to do something you are not ready to do, even in therapy. I will guide your teen but allow them to set the pace of therapy that is most comfortable to them. Together we will work toward helping your teen reach their full potential.
