Our work together will consist of teaching you tools to help cope with the anxiety and depression you are feeling right now. Listening to your concerns takes center stage because this is YOUR life we are talking about. I understand your need for strategies that will immediately help you, but that will also be discrete and not interfere in your life because the purpose of therapy is not to learn fancy, new techniques, but to get back to enjoying life in a balanced, healthy way. You will find that I am very down to earth and grounded. Most of our conversations will focus on what's going on right now. However, I also believe that the past is important because it made you into who you are today. Often, the coping skills and techniques that you learned in the past no longer fit and have become roadblocks to your happiness. We can explore these topics in a safe, collaborative environment which will allow you to grow and thrive while releasing the pain and anxiety from your past.
