My Background and Approach
Many individuals who have a mental health condition know little or nothing about the condition they have been diagnosed with, what they might expect from therapy, or where to begin their journey of self-growth. I strive to build a foundation of knowledge with our clients by including a psychoeducational component into their sessions. This foundation lays the groundwork on which clients will build up their coping skills, emotion regulation, mindfulness skills, self-awareness, motivation, relationships, and much more!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones.
