About My Clients
Do you ever find yourself reacting more strongly than you want to, but don’t understand why? Or perhaps you notice the same patterns showing up in your relationships, your behaviors, or the way you cope, even though you’ve tried to change them? Maybe you’ve experienced trauma and find yourself feeling easily overwhelmed, emotionally triggered, shut down, or disconnected. I offer a compassionate space where we can explore where these patterns come from and begin the journey of healing.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is grounded in the belief that your reactions, behaviors, and coping patterns often make sense when viewed through the lens of what you’ve experienced. I specialize in trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and draw from other trauma-informed and evidence-based approaches to help clients understand the connection between their experiences, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My goal is to provide a space where you can feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing can truly begin when a person feels safe enough to be seen, heard, and understood. I also believe that many of the ways we think, react, and feel today can be connected to our earlier experiences, particularly those from childhood. Sometimes, we need to look back in order to understand ourselves and move forward. In our sessions, we would take time to explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, helping you develop greater awareness of your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and patterns. Together, we can begin to understand where these patterns come from, identify what may no longer be serving you, and create new ways of responding that resonate with the life you are working towards.
