About My Clients
Are you struggling with coping with loss? Do you find it difficult to manage anxiety or even process through changes in life? I know what it's like to struggle with the unknown and coping with the uncertainties of life. I enjoy supporting teens and adults navigating trauma, grief, life transitions and anxiety through an attachment-based and body based lens.
My Background and Approach
I am trained in somatic based approaches geared to help individuals develop a more regulated nervous system. My approach to therapy is is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing and growth happen through authentic connection and self-discovery. My hope is that throughout our collaborative relationship we find ways to help you through whichever life transition you are experiencing to support your ability to go through life head on.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Carl Rodgers said "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." It is my personal belief that lasting change can come when we fully and empathetically accept who we are. When we experience feelings like shame, often times, they can hold us back form becoming whom we truly desire to be. Many of my beliefs have been reinforced by my own therapy experience. When I held the space to look at myself and be who I am, I was able to make the changes that I wished to see. In my work as therapist I create an open and non-judgmental space for you to feel understood, safe, and honor your needs. Outside of therapy I am an avid outdoors person. I enjoy hikes (don't ask how many hikes I go on because it isn't much), I love soccer and all things sports, and my favorite past time is reading.
