About My Clients
I welcome new clients seeking experienced, compassionate support and who are ready to make meaningful changes. With over 26 years of clinical experience, I work with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. I help clients manage anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, learning difficulties, and life stressors using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, while focusing on practical coping skills, resilience, and long-term emotional wellness.
My Background and Approach
I welcome new clients who are seeking experienced, compassionate support and are ready to make meaningful changes. I am Jayne Barrett, LCSW, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 28 years of experience working with adolescents, young adults, adults, couples, and families. My practice focuses on helping clients manage anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, learning difficulties, and life stressors using evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and goal-oriented. Together, we work to understand what is driving current challenges while building skills that can be used immediately in daily life. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel heard, supported, and respected. Whether you are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I am committed to helping you build clarity, resilience, and a stronger sense of well-being over time together.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is a powerful opportunity for growth, clarity, and change. Even in moments of struggle, I believe people have the strength and ability to move forward when they are supported, understood, and given effective tools. Therapy is not about fixing what is broken, but about uncovering strengths, building resilience, and learning new ways to respond to life’s challenges. I believe meaningful change happens when insight and action work together. By understanding patterns that no longer serve you and developing practical strategies, progress becomes possible and sustainable. Therapy should feel collaborative, encouraging, and empowering, meeting you where you are while helping you move toward where you want to be. My goal is to motivate clients to recognize their potential, build confidence, and create healthier patterns that support emotional well-being, stronger relationships, and a more fulfilling life over time.
