About My Clients
Many of my clients are LGBTQ+ and/or neurodivergent youth, adults, and older adults navigating identity, relationships, trauma, or life transitions. They often arrive carrying stories that don’t fit into neat categories, and that’s exactly where our work begins. Whether you're facing grief, anxiety, disconnection, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a space that honors your full self and respects your personal goals, values, and lived experience.
My Background and Approach
My work is primarily humanistic, centering on the client first. I draw from a variety of practice perspectives including narrative, psychodynamic, cognitive, and behavioral, but I don’t believe in rigid formulas. I believe healing happens when we feel truly seen and accepted for our whole selves. I bring both professional training and lived experience to my work, and I’m especially attuned to clients whose identities, stories, or struggles have been marginalized or misunderstood. Whether you’re navigating grief, identity, chronic stress, neurodivergence, or just trying to make sense of your life, our work will be collaborative and rooted in curiosity and compassion. You set the pace. I’ll offer reflection, insight, and support as you explore your own meaning and direction. Above all, I aim to create space where complexity is welcomed, and where your full self is not only allowed, but valued.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I'm only sitting on this side of the office because I've been through my own challenges and found meaning in helping others navigate their own. I truly believe that each and every person I meet is the expert of their own experience and that our personal narratives hold powerful significance. While I am a member of of the LGBTQ+ community and an advocate for social justice; in my office, I bring that same energy to bear in advocating for all of my clients and the issues affecting their lives. As previously mentioned, I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community, a volunteer, and an advocate for social justice. I also believe in the power of creative expression, our natural environment, social relationships, and education. I'm a passionate lifelong learner, a partner, an artist, a friend, an enduring optimist, and so many other things. I lean into these identities and interests to add real human perspective and nuance to my work with clients.
