About My Clients
I have a particular interest in working with children, couples, and families because I believe so much of our emotional world is shaped within our relationships. Sometimes a child’s behavior is communicating something they don’t yet have the words to express. Sometimes couples find themselves caught in patterns they understand intellectually but struggle to change. And sometimes families love each other deeply while still having difficulty understanding one another.
My Background and Approach
I’m an eclectic therapist, which means I don’t believe therapy should look the same for everyone. I believe the most important part of therapy is the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, understood, and accepted for who you are. From there, I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, and other approaches depending on what you need. We may work on practical tools for managing anxiety, explore patterns that developed earlier in life, process difficult or traumatic experiences, or strengthen communication and connection within your relationships. I believe healing involves not only understanding your experiences, but also helping your nervous system learn that it is safe in the present. Together, we can work toward calming patterns of anxiety, building emotional resilience, and developing a more compassionate relationship with yourself.
