About My Clients

I work primarily with veterans, first responders, and their family members who are carrying the weight of trauma, stress, and life after service. Many of my clients struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, emotional numbness, anger, or relationship strain. I also support spouses and family members impacted by the demands of service. My approach is direct, trauma informed, and focused on practical healing and long term growth.

My Background and Approach

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Texas providing services under the supervision of Anita McNew LPC S. My work is grounded in trauma informed care with a strong focus on veterans, first responders, and their family members. I have experience supporting clients with PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use concerns, emotional regulation, and relationship stress. I integrate evidence based approaches including Brainspotting, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Written Exposure Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Sand Tray Therapy. This allows treatment to be tailored to your needs rather than forcing a one size fits all model. My approach is practical, collaborative, and respectful of the strengths you already bring. Clients often appreciate a balance of structure and flexibility that helps them process trauma safely while building tools they can use in daily life. The goal is not just symptom reduction but lasting change, improved relationsh

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing happens best in a space that is safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental. I value honesty, accountability, compassion, and growth. I believe people are more than their trauma, diagnoses, or past choices, and that meaningful change is possible even after long periods of struggle. My work is guided by a strong respect for service, family, faith, and community. I deeply value the sacrifices made by veterans, first responders, and their loved ones, and I believe their stories deserve to be heard with dignity and understanding. I support mental health access, suicide prevention, trauma recovery, and reducing stigma around seeking help. I believe therapy should be practical, collaborative, and empowering rather than shaming or pathologizing. Clients do not need to have everything figured out to begin. Showing up is enough to start.
