About My Clients
Everything from parolees to soccer moms. Individual therapy is what I specialize in, but other clinicians in my practice will work with couples and adolescents. Try one session. See if the connection is there. If it is, we start discussing the main goal and commit to diving in. Then, off we go.
My Background and Approach
My approach is direct, yet caring. I believe in the power of support, yet I know that sugar coating reality is not the way to achieve these difficult goals. If you go to the gym and leave without breaking a sweat, then you will not have any gains. Therapy is just like that. I've been in recovery since 2006, and began my journey into therapy shortly after. My experiences as a client have helped me as a clinician tremendously. Life is amazing if you're willing to work for it. We are now conducting anger management, gambling assessments/therapy, and marijuana education! Like Venthouse Counseling on Facebook!
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been in recovery since 2006 and I ventured into the field of mental health care the following year. Many of the lessons and principles that I learned as a client have served me very well as a clinician. The truth is, your life can be amazing if you are willing to work for it.
