About My Clients

I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

My Background and Approach

I often use cognitive behavioral therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then we'll decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I don't believe that there is a limit to human capacity. I think the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones. As a child, I suffered from anxiety and depression as a result of PTSD. Through my own therapy, I learned how to handle my "stuckness" and move past it so that it didn't have control over me. I haven't had a panic attack in years and I want you to feel the same freedom that I experience every day. I don't discriminate against anyone. Feel free to reach out to me.
