About My Clients
My clients are teens, adults, couples, and families who are tired of pretending everything’s fine when it’s not. They’re often navigating anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, or relationship patterns that just won’t quit. They want more than venting — they want clarity, change, and a therapist who truly gets it (and doesn’t just nod silently). They’re ready to do the work — even if they’re nervous — and they want a space that feels safe, real, and maybe even a little funny along the way.
My Background and Approach
I’m a gay, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience helping people move through anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, down-to-earth, and always tailored to you. I draw from CBT, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-informed practices, and the Gottman Method for couples — but therapy with me doesn’t feel like a textbook. It’s real, human, and centered around building insight, resilience, and meaningful change. Whether we’re unpacking childhood wounds, navigating relationship chaos, or learning how to set boundaries without guilt — I’ll meet you where you are, and walk with you from there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should be a place where every part of you is welcome — without judgment, shame, or expectation to “perform.” I’m committed to creating a space that’s inclusive, affirming, and actively anti-oppressive. That means honoring your race, gender identity, sexual orientation, culture, body size, neurotype, and lived experience. I don’t just say “come as you are” — I mean it. I believe mental health is deeply connected to the systems we live in, and I show up with a trauma-informed, social justice lens in every session. You're not broken — you're human, navigating a world that often makes it hard to breathe. Hateful beliefs and discriminatory views don’t have a place in my practice — but you do.
