About My Clients
I treat clients with anxiety, depression, addiction, chronic relapse, anger, lowered self-esteem, LGBTQIA+ issues, co-dependency, unhealthy sexual behaviors, grief and loss, and men’s issues. I offer counseling for clients participating in medication-assisted treatment (Suboxone) and are required to participate in counseling as a condition of treatment.
My Background and Approach
I approach clients with empathy and good humor as a fellow human who is humbled by and respectful of those who choose to share their lives with me. My belief is that the counseling relationship should be collaborative and individualized. My approach is eclectic and draws from a variety of theoretical perspectives.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that the therapeutic relationship forms the basis of all interactions between the counselor and client. I approach this relationship in a non-judgmental way that respects the diversity and inherent value of each person.
