My Background and Approach
What Makes Me Different? As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, mindfulness instructor, life coach, & yoga teacher, I’ve received specialized training in treating people from all walks of life, identifying and empathizing with every imaginable issue and struggle, providing growth, healing, and strategies to create a meaningful life. Whether I’m working with an individual or a couple, I focus on helping you create a life filled with purpose, connection, meaning, hope, and joy. The clients who are most successful in therapy with me are people who understand that therapy can be hard but know it’s worth it to create the life they long to have. They appreciate me actually listening to their story, offering compassion and empathy to their struggles, and supporting their goals and dreams. They appreciate my straightforward approach, and my willingness to explore the things that they have never told anyone before, processing it all with openness, kindness, and understanding.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I aim to be the type of therapist that I would want to see. I keep it real, I keep it honest, and I keep it open. I encourage my clients to do the same. There is no “failure” in therapy. Everything is welcomed, nothing is off limits. As a society, we don’t share our hopes, dreams, or struggles with each other anymore. Share with me. I’ve found that the clients who experience the best results from therapy are the ones who have had enough, they're fed up, they're done. They're ready to push through and push past what’s been keeping them stuck. They're committed to their own growth, follow through, and put in the time necessary to cultivate a life of joy and happiness. They're ready to give up whatever is no longer serving them. They’re tired of living a story that they feel like somebody else wrote, filled with feelings of inadequacy, depression, and anxiety. They’re ready to become the author of their life and bring about lasting change.
