We help men with: Depression, Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Social Anxiety, Anger, Trauma/PTSD, Separation/Divorce, Performance Anxiety, Imposter Syndrome, Self-Esteem/Confidence, and More. We have both talk and non-talk therapy approaches in helping men succeed.
Men experience depression in slightly different ways. Anger can be a symptom of depression in men that is not as common in women. Men also have a lot of weight on their shoulders & are expected to forge ahead while depression is dragging them down. Men are wired to provide, protect, & compete. When depression is on board, it can impact a man's ability to provide, protect, and compete. We want to help you offboard depression to help you build a stronger future together!
Anxiety comes in many different forms: Generalize anxiety that seems ever present, day in & day out. Social Anxiety/Phobia that rears its ugly head when in front of a group of new people or other similar social situations. And panic attacks. This is the stealth form of anxiety lying in wait until you start to head to work, are presenting in front of the leadership team, or other non-opportune times.
Neurofeedback is an approach that has been around since the 1970's. It is supported by research & shown to be effective. Neurofeedback for us has been 90%-95% effective in seeing moderate to significant gains & improvements. Neurofeedback is not talk therapy. Neurofeedback uses therapists with specialized training, sophisticated software, & creates a map of your brain. Neurofeedback trains the brain for optimal brain performance in helping to overcome emotional/behavioral challenges.
Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR) was developed in the 1980's. It is an approach supported by research & shown to work in the least amount of time necessary. EMDR was originally developed to treat trauma & PTSD. It is a non-talk therapy approach. EMDR also helps with anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, performance anxiety, depression, & many other challenges. A great approach for those not interested in talk therapy.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an effective therapy approach for men that has been around since the 1960's. With all the research that has been done on CBT, it has been shown to be one of the "gold standard" therapy approaches for a variety of men's challenges. CBT explores the problem & then identifies the core beliefs, automatic thoughts that are created due to the core belief, & the emotions that are created as a result. CBT helps to change these things resulting in improved mood.
