About My Clients
You've tried therapy in the past. You've struggled to find something that works, and you've almost given up hope on dealing with your trauma, on salvaging your family, or getting the help you desperately need. I know that traditional therapy isn't for everyone. I know that you feel like you've been through this before, but my approach to therapy infuses creativity structure, and humor. I want to help you find your way through what it is you're going through.
My Background and Approach
As a therapist, I work to use empathy, a sense of humor, and connection in all sessions. I want us to feel like a team working toward a common set of goals. I am trained in trauma work and get great joy from helping others feel more connected and engaged. It is important for me to give my clients a safe place to talk and share. We can work on getting a life you may have never thought to be possible to achieve. I've been a Program Coordinator in a Dual Diagnosis residential facility. I do sand tray and play therapy. I've worked with kids, families, and individuals for close to ten years on issues ranging from trauma to depression to anxiety to re-integration. By the end of each therapeutic relationship, I have helped my clients develop stronger, more meaningful connections - with their families, in their other important relationships, and with themselves.
