About My Clients
As we all know we face many troubles within ourselves and without. Whether that be self-esteem, self-doubt, family, work, financial situations, co-parenting, etc. With that, I have found that it has become essential to focus on being INTENTIONAL in the way that you live, interact with others and go forth on your journey through life. If you are struggling with intentionality, I can collaboratively assist you with becoming more intentional in creating the life you deserve.
My Background and Approach
My modality of therapy stems from my extensive training of systemic theories where I take into consideration all content within each context when assessing a problem. I focus on a Narrative and Solution-Focused based approach, which allows for a non-judgmental, open space that allows a collaborative effort to assist you in making the needed changes in your life, because you are the expert! My clinical experience ranges from working with individuals, couples and families. I have specialized work with military families, at-risk youth with the Department of Juvenile Justice and the homeless population with addiction and dual diagnosis. I have worked with addictions in intensive outpatient and residential settings, suicide/crisis stabilization in residential programs and hotline services. I have experience with creative arts, holistic techniques and equine therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all go through things in life that impacts us more than we know– some good, some bad and some indifferent. We experience some things that we can control and others we cannot. I think that if we strive to take action in our life and not settle for the hand that we have been dealt, we can process, heal and grow to great depths. Focusing on becoming intentional daily allows for us to make thoughtful choices and ultimately create a life that is meaningful and fulfilling; after all we only have one chance at this thing called life.
