About My Clients
I enjoy working with children, adults, families, and couples. My specialties include substance use, family conflict, trauma, obsessive compulsive disorders, relationship conflict, issues associated with oppression, and anxiety disorders. I am also proficient in both the English and Spanish language!
My Background and Approach
I have provided approximately 9 years of therapeutic services. During this time I have offered different forms of psychotherapy, taught parenting classes, administered life skill trainings, facilitated group therapy, recreational therapy, and supervised visitations for court involved families. I received my Bachelors degree in Sociology from The Sage Colleges. I went on to achieve my Masters degree in Social Work from Hunter College - Silberman School of Social Work. At this time, I am pursuing my doctorate in International Psychology with a focus in Trauma.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an intersectional feminist, an ally to the LGBTQ+ community, a supporter of Puerto Rico's decolonization and independence, and I stand with the Black Lives Matter movement. My new found loves are fantasy fiction and houseplant propagation!
